The University of Moratuwa sits on the scenic banks of Bolgoda Lake in Katubedda - a premier technological institute in South Asia. Founded from the 1960 Katubedda Campus, it gained independent status in 1978 under University Grants Commission - now housing faculties of Architecture, Engineering, IT, Business, Graduate Studies and Medicine 

The campus pulses with academic vibrancy - modern lecture halls, high-tech labs, student centres, counselling units, medical and sports facilities - all nurturing a holistic student journey . With 14 undergraduate and 56 postgraduate programmes including MSc, MPhil and PhD, UoM educates thousands of students to become globally competitive professionals and innovators.
