About CEB
Established under the CEB Act No. 17 of 1969, the Ceylon Electricity Board is Sri Lanka’s national power utility. It operates under the Ministry of Power and Energy and is responsible for end-to-end electricity services—including generation, transmission, distribution, and retail—across the island.
