Raja Jewellers began in 1928 as E. A. Fernando Jewellers in Chatham Street and rebranded in 1962 under Raja Fernando. Now managed by the third generation, Ashoka and Athula Eliyapura, and supported by around 300 staff, the business continues to lead in Sri Lanka’s gold jewellery industry.
The company registered as Raja Jewellers (Pvt) Ltd in 1985. Notable milestones include opening branches in Kandy and Negombo (2012, 2018), launching the youth-focused Infinity brand (2019), and pioneering digital services with an online store and virtual appointments during the pandemic.
The brand showcases curated collections: Navantatre (Bridal), Paragon (Diamond), Opera (Workwear), Persona (Men’s), Serendib (Color Stone), and Twinkle Teen. Designers expertly blend traditional techniques with modern technology to masterfully work with diamonds, gems, and precious metals.
Raja Jewellers has earned Presidential and National Business Excellence Awards, and was the sole Sri Lankan jewellery brand to represent at Dubai Expo 2019. Testimonials praise its customer service, deep knowledge, and design craftsmanship.
