Founded in 1999 by Murad Ismail and Channa Daswatte—veteran architects formerly of Geoffrey Bawa Associates—MICD Associates (also operating as ATS Consultants) is a boutique architectural practice based at 56 Rev. Dammaratana Mawatha, Madiwela, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. The firm is known for customized, climate-responsive design deeply rooted in Sri Lanka’s site, culture, and environment.
MICD emphasizes use of local materials, lightness of structure, connection with landscape and climate, and spatial harmony; delivering contextually appropriate architecture sensitive to nature and place.
