The Lionel Wendt Centre for the Arts, located at 18 Premasiri Khemadasa Mawatha (formerly Guildford Crescent), Colombo 7, was established in 1953 in memory of photographer and art pioneer Lionel Wendt. The main Lionel Wendt Theatre seats over 600 and features proscenium stage lighting, orchestra pit, and professional backstage amenities. A smaller Black Box Theatre (150 seats) supports experimental and intimate productions.
