Access Engineering PLC, founded in 2001 and headquartered at Access Towers, Union Place, Colombo 02, is Sri Lanka’s only greenfield construction company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. A diversified EPC contractor in infrastructure, housing, maritime, renewable energy, aviation, and property development, it employs over 1,094 people and reported ₨79.9 bn in assets in 2023.
AEL has executed landmark infrastructure, including the 533 m Rajagiriya Flyover—the country’s longest—opened January 8, 2018 . In ports and marine, it leads turnkey construction of the East Container Terminal (ECT) and West Container Terminal (CWIT) in Colombo via high-profile joint ventures.
Through Access Realties, AEL owns Access Towers I & II in Union Place, providing high-end office space. Subsidiaries include Blue Star Realties (Capital Heights condos), Harbour Village (Marina Square Uptown Port City), and Bali-lined WUS Logistics for warehousing .
AEL launched “Idea Nest,” a research incubator supporting fibre-optic monitoring and smart infrastructure with University of Moratuwa and Cambridge/Oxford partnerships . Their integrated services include piling, HDD, dredging, engineering design, and logistics solutions.
Through Access Motors (Jaguar & Land Rover distributor), and ZPMC joint venture with China Harbor Engineering, AEL provides port machinery, service, and repairs .
